Nichols School Named to Advanced Placement School Honor Roll
College Board announced that Nichols School has been named to the Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll, earning Platinum distinction.
The AP® School Honor Roll 认识到 schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.
At Nichols School last year, 495 AP exams were taken by students in 23 subjects. Nichols offers 22 Advanced Placement courses, including two newly 创建d courses: AP African American Studies and AP Precalculus. Nichols students have the potential to earn an AP Capstone Diploma on top of their Nichols Diploma, by earning a 3 or higher in both AP Seminar and AP Research on any 4 additional AP exams.

College Board’s Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) enables students to pursue college-level studies—with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both—while still in high school. Through AP courses, students learn to think critically, construct solid arguments, and see many sides of an issue—skills that prepare them for college and beyond.
